Two coins, one legal model, a free way in and a prize at the end. Read this once and every figure on our tables makes sense.

Gold Coins
The play currency. You get a pile at sign-up, more each day you log in, and you can buy packages. They keep the reels spinning but have no cash value and can never be redeemed. Crown Coins, Lucky Coins, Tournament Coins and WOW Coins are the same thing under other names.
Sweepstakes Coins
The prize currency. They arrive free: with the welcome package, through daily bonuses, bundled with Gold Coin purchases as a promotion, and by postal request. Play each one through the required number of times, reach the minimum, and they can be redeemed for cash or gift cards. Fortune Coins calls them FC.
Why nobody has to buy anything
Legally, a sweepstakes casino is a promotion. US sweepstakes law lets a promotion award prizes as long as there is a free entry route that is as good as any paid one. That is what “no purchase necessary” means, and it is why every casino here hands out daily free coins and accepts a mailed request.
Gold Coin packages exist because mail is slow and daily bonuses are small, not because buying is required. A casino that told you to purchase before redeeming would be breaking the rules that allow it to exist. None of the eighteen here does.
Because they are promotions, these casinos are not licensed by state gaming boards, and that is also why a growing list of states has closed them. The state page has the current list.
Sign-up to prize, step by step
- Register
Real name, date of birth and home address. All of it is verified before your first prize.
- Collect free coins
The welcome Sweepstakes Coins are credited immediately; daily log-ins add more.
- Play through
Once at most casinos (1x). Twice at Golden Hearts Games and ThrillCoins.
- Reach the minimum
Usually 50 SC. Chumba, LuckyLand and ThrillCoins set 100 SC. Fortune Coins sets 1,200 FC.
- Redeem
Bank transfer or gift card. Seven hours to three days across our eighteen casinos.
Three things that catch people out
Expiry. Free Sweepstakes Coins usually lapse after 60 days of inactivity. A weekly log-in avoids it.
Verification. Every casino asks for a photo ID before paying a first prize. Register with the details on your ID and the check takes a day; register with a nickname and it stalls.
Location. The check runs at every log-in, not just at sign-up. An account opened in Texas stops working the moment you connect from Michigan.
